This page explains commonly used terms in the sport of bowls, which includes variations of outdoor bowls also known as Lawn Bowls, Crown Green Bowls, Indoor Bowls and Carpet Bowls. ==0–9== * 100 up: a game of bowls where the object is to reach a score of 100 ''shots''. Usually used in games based on a ''proportional'' scoring system. * 2 metre mark: the furthermost position that the ''jack'' can be placed following the ''lead'' bowler ''rolling the jack'' at the start of an ''end''.
